The Way of the World (a poem)

The way of the world is not kind or cruel.

Egoic subjectivity plays us for a fool.

The mind sees reality in a limited form.

Emotional distraction is often the norm.

The way of the world is unstoppably flowing.

Making peace with it is a means of knowing.

Reality reacts to our direct perception of it.

Internalizing that is truly a matter of spirit.

The way of the world is an endlessly spinning wheel.

Its rules stay the same regardless of what we feel.

Do good for others and let yourself love life.

Only then can you attain freedom from strife.

Virtue is not a mere conceptual afterthought.

It is one of the first truths that nature brought.

Heaven-sent are the facts of liberation.

We are all a source of pure creation.

We must know that there is a Good.

It is enough to do what we could.

Thank you!
